Where do you ship? How much is shipping?
California only, for now. We ship direct — no middlemen. Flat rate $12. Free on orders $100 and up. When we expand beyond California, you'll hear about it on Instagram first: @machhausco.
What makes this cookie different from every other cookie?
Caramelized butter — browned past golden, then fortified with milk powder and brown sugar into something deeper than brown butter. A 70/30 milk and semisweet chocolate blend, hand-chopped into uneven pools. Cold-aged 72 hours before it ever sees an oven. Every step has a reason. Most cookies don't. That's the difference.
Will the cookies be fresh when they arrive?
Yes. Every cookie is baked, cooled, and individually sealed, then shipped fast — most California orders arrive within 1–2 days. Warm it before eating. There's a card in the box with the exact timing.
How should I store them? Do they need to be refrigerated?
Room temperature only. The fridge dries them out — don't do it. Sealed, they're good for up to 7 days.
How do I get that fresh-baked taste?
Warm it. 10–12 seconds in the microwave or 5 minutes at 300°F. The molten center and crisp edges come right back. Exact timing is on the card in every box.
What's in them? Any allergens?
Brown butter, real chopped chocolate (milk and semisweet), flaky sea salt, and a few things we obsess over. They contain milk, wheat, and eggs, and are made in a kitchen that also handles common allergens.
Can I buy a single cookie?
No. Minimum is a half dozen. You'll understand why when they arrive.
Are they made to order?
Yes — small batches, made by hand. That's the whole point.
When will my order arrive?
Orders ship within 2–3 business days, early in the week so nothing sits over a weekend. Most California orders land within 1–2 days of shipping. You'll get tracking.
Can I change or cancel my order?
No changes or cancellations once an order is placed — everything is baked to order and we move fast. Know what you want before you check out. If something arrives wrong or damaged, email us within 48 hours and we'll make it right.
Do you offer refunds?
All sales are final. If your order arrives damaged or wrong, email us within 48 hours with a photo. We'll fix it.
Are they vegan or gluten-free?
Not right now — these are made with real butter, wheat flour, and eggs. One cookie, done our way.
Do you do gifts, events, or bulk orders?
Yes. We don't rush for anyone — minimum one month's notice, no exceptions. Email machhausco@gmail.com with what you have in mind and we'll make it happen.
